  3. Geography is important because the geographers need to know when a hazard is going to happen, or how bad an earthquake is. I learned that Eric Larsen was hiking up Mount Everest, and how he relies on a map to show him where to go, and if he needs to be somewhere.

  6. Geography is important because it allows us to see the world as it is all at one time, not just from our tiny viewpoint. It gives us a more broad perspective on the world and everything in it. I liked Olusayi Fayanju because he was a kid that cared enough about geography to win that competition. It's cool to see young kids interested in something academic

  7. Geography is important because it shows us what the world has been and is today by certain artifacts in the past. Geography is helpful to know if you are a explorer like Eric Larsen who climbs and leads expeditions up and down Mt. Everest. I found Eric Larsen interesting because he has climbed Mt. Everest so many times and is able to let people know where he is if he gets lost by sending his location by GPS when he is blogging if he needs rescued.

  10. I think its important to know geography because it allows us to better understand the world and the terrain, along with what goes beyond the surface like earthquakes. I found Keith Masback interesting because of the part he had in helping and saving people after hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
